The Holy Scriptures The Holy Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, are truths from the Word of God without error in the original writings. It is the lifeline for mankind. The Holy Scriptures is the Word of God, given by God to mankind, divinely inspired, infallible, entirely trustworthy, and the supreme authority in all matters of faith, conduct and the conscience. (2 Timothy 3:15-17; 1 Peter 1:23-25; Hebrews 4:12). |
The One True God The one true God has revealed Himself as the eternally self-existent, self-revealed "I AM," and has further revealed Himself as a triune being manifested as Father, Son and Holy Spirit. He is omniscient (all-knowing), omnipotent (all-powerful), and omnipresent (is everywhere at once). (Deuteronomy 6:4; Mark 12:29; Isaiah 43:10; Matthew 28:19, Exodus 3:14, John 3:20, Jeremiah 32:17, 27; Psalm 139:7-12). |
The Lord Jesus Christ Jesus Christ is the Only Begotten Son of God. He was and is God manifest in the flesh. We believe in His virgin birth, His sinless human life, His divine miracles, His death on the cross for our sins, His bodily resurrection, His ascension, His work and His personal return in power and glory. (John 1:14; Luke 1:26-38; John 2:11; Luke 24:39; John 1:29; John 3:16; Acts 1:9-11). |
The Holy Spirit The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Godhead. He convicts, regenerates, indwells, empowers, and seals all believers in Christ; fills those who yield to Him and gives spiritual gifts to all believers. (Titus 3:5; Ephesians 4:30; John 16:7-11; John 3:5-8). |
The Salvation of Man We are all sinners separated from God and deserving of eternal punishment for our sins. But God so loved the world that He gave His only Begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him, shall not perish but have everlasting life. We are saved by God's grace only through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of our sins. (Romans 3:23; Ephesians 2:8-9, John 3:16). |
Water Baptism The ordinance of baptism should be observed (as commanded in the Scriptures) by all that have repented of their sins and in their hearts have believed on Christ as their Savior and Lord. Baptism is done by immersion. In doing so, we identify with Christ in His death, burial and resurrection to walk with Him in newness of life. (Matthew 28:19; Romans 6:4). |
The Lord's Supper (Communion) Communion is an ordinance instituted by Christ. As often as we take it, we remember His death on the cross. The Communion consists of bread and the fruit of the vine which represents the body and blood of Jesus. (1 Corinthians 11:23-26; Luke 22:17-20). |
The Church The church is the Holy Body of Christ, the habitation of God through the Spirit, with divine appointments for the fulfilment of her great commission. Jesus told Peter, "Upon this rock, I will build my church and the gates of hell will not pervail." Each believer is an integral part of the church and their names are written in the Lamb's Book of Life (Matthews 16:18; Acts 20:27-29; 1 Corinthians 12:27-29; Ephesians 1:21-23, 3:20-22, 4:1-3, 5:21-27; Colossians 1:17-19; 1 Thessalonians 2:4). |
Ministry Divinely called and scripturally ordained, ministry has been provided by our Lord for a two-fold purpose: (1) the evangelization of the world, and (2) the edification of the Body of Christ (Mark 16:15, 20; Ephesians 4:11-13). |
The Rapture and the Second Coming of Christ The rapture is when Jesus Christ descends from heaven for His church. This will be followed by the seven-year tribulation period, followed by the Second Coming of Christ, the visible return of Christ with His saints. (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; Zechariah 14:5; Matthew 24:27, 30; Revelation 1:7; Revelation 19:11-16; Revelation 20:1-6). |
The Final Judgment There will be a final judgment in which the wicked dead will be raised and will be judged according to their works. Whosoever is not found in the Book of Life, together with the devil (a real being who is the tempter and accuser of the brethren) and his demons, the beast and the false prophet, will be consigned to everlasting punishment in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death. (Matthew 25:46; Mark 9:43-48; Revelation 19:20; Revelation 20:10-15). |
Divine Healing Deliverance from sickness is provided for in the atonement of Christ and is the privilege of all believers (Isa. 53:4, 5; Matt. 8:16, 17; Mark 16:18; John 5:14). |
